One important feature of the Kuenphen Rabten Resort is its peacefulness and serenity as it is located away from the core city.

Besides the amenities and services provided, guests can explore and experience traditional Bhutanese lifestyle at a few minutes walking distance outside the Resort. A five minutes walk above the resort compound will lead you into a traditional Bhutanese village, where ancient Bhutanese houses have been preserved for many years.

Traditional Bhutanese houses are usually three storied, where the ground floor houses the livestock. The people occupy the middle floor and the top floor is maintained as a shrine or altar. These typical, traditional Bhutanese houses can still be seen in the rural areas of Bhutan.
